This page provides links to download McAfee's VirusScan for Windows XP, Windows Vista and the Macintosh.

Remember that new Windows and Microsoft Word macro viruses are appearing constantly -- approximately 100/month for Windows viruses, and sometimes as many as a dozen new macro viruses each month. Because of this, it's important to upgrade your virus definition ("DAT") file regularly. New definitions are usually released monthly; they can be downloaded directly from McAfee's website; different DATs are available for VirusScan and for Virex/VirusScan for Mac. Please note that the software being distributed here may not contain the latest definition files! You should update your definition file immediately from McAfee's source, just in case!

New versions of this software are released on an irregular basis -- usually at least twice per year. They will be made available on this page when we receive them. Departmental computer support staff who are running Windows Server should contact the Site Licensing Office about some of the extra utilities which are available for that platform.
