Virex is now called VirusScan for Mac
Effective with version 8.5, Virex has been renamed VirusScan for Mac. VirusScan for Mac 8.5 is also now a universal binary which works on both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macintosh computers.
Below are the installation files for VirusScan for Mac OS X, as well as documentation in PDF format and uninstallers for the previous relevant versions of Virex and VirusScan for Mac OS X. If you are having trouble getting VirusScan to install on a Mac running a prior version of Virex or VirusScan, then use the appropriate uninstaller to first remove the old version.
Once you've downloaded the dmg, your Mac should automatically mount the dmg file - if not, double-click on it. Once the drive is mounted, double-click on the installer to run it.
You will be asked to enter your CNetID and CNet password when you click the download link. Only current students, faculty, and staff of the University are eligible to download this software.
